The OAA Annual Leadership Conference for 2007 was held this year in Saint Petersburg, Florida.  While being very informative, we, Patricia Ellis and Steve Staab, were able to meet more than 60 fellow opticians throughout the United States.  We were happy to find out that Rhode Island has rejoined OAA this year, The State Leader of the Year Award was presented to Ms. Earley of Ohio, and The Opticians Association of Michigan receive the Best State Newsletter Award.  This was a wonderful experience and hope to be able to do it again next year.

Leadership Conference

January 24-26, 2008

  State leaders of State societies reserve the date for the 23^rd annual OAA Leadership Conference.  The Conference will be held at the Historic Renaissance Charleston Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina.

  This is designed for State Association Leaders to come together once a year, to participate in unique break-out sessions that address state societies desires and opportunities, and to create and share ideas with their peers throughout the country.
